Everlane Top Rated

This post is dedicated to the ethically made brand, Everlane. Below I will discuss what is really worth the price point and what's not.

I came across this brand after Megan Markle's casual blue jean, white shirt outfit was paired with the classic Everlane Day Tote in the beautiful cognac color. The photo hit the internet and the bag blew up, it was difficult to get your hands on.

The brand prides itself on cutting the cost of leather goods and quality materials by eliminating the middle man to offer a better price for ethically made clothes, shoes, and accessories. I finally decided to try their products even though I personally feel their items are still a bit over priced. I bought the classic Day Square Tote (which is a size smaller than Megan Markle's), the Day Heels in nude pink, 90's Cheeky Straight Jeans, and the Authentic Stretch High Rise Jeans.

This Day Square Tote is very simple and is a good work bag or everyday bag that's casual. Honestly, the bag is a great style that is functional and minimalistic. However, the leather quickly cracks and gets scratched. The quality of the bag is not as good as other leather bags I currently own. The leather straps are very nice and will hold up long-term. The interior is a soft leather material that adds to the simplistic look of the bag. The bottom of the bag is structured enough where it can hold a lot without losing it's shape. I do think there are better tote bags out there that are better quality but there aren't many that have this same structure and style.

The Day Heels are meant to be extremely comfortable and have a chunky heel with a scrunched bag heel to avoid blisters. The design and quality is there for these shoes but they are not the most comfortable heels that I own. I love the color and the leather of the shoes and the square toe with the chunky heel. After wearing them one time I had blisters on the sides of my feet and pinky toes. Maybe they need to broken in more. I wore them for about 10 hours-- I am going to limit the time I wear them and see if that makes a difference. I do not think these are worth the price ($145.00).

The two pairs of jeans I purchased were AMAZING. If you're going to buy anything from Everlane, go with the jeans. The material of both pairs is soft and flexible without being too stretchy where the stretch out and end up being too big. The 90's Cheeky straight jean fits well on the hips and bum and molds to your waist. Typically jeans are tight around the bum and loose around my waist. The Authentic Stretch High Rise jeans are my perfect every day jean. I got them in the cropped length and they fit me perfectly ( I am 5'2). I purchased the jeans when they were having a sale-- each pair was $50.00. They typically retail for $70-$80.00.

This honest review is meant to offer you insight before you buy these trendy items from Everlane. Overall, I support the brand for being well-made and simplistic. I like the look of the brand because it's versatile and meant for everyone's shape, size, style, and lifestyle.
